We have begun providing support to REI, Refugee Empowerment International. We started this pro bono work with the hope of supporting the strong passion and sincere activities of the founder, Jane. The support was initiated with a strong desire from our representative, Akiyoshi, who holds a master's degree in War Studies. Although the organization was founded in 1979 and has a long history, it is still not widely understood in Japan. The majority of its fundraising comes from donations from Westerners living in Japan and foreign-affiliated companies. We are increasingly realizing that wars and conflicts happening around the world are no longer "events in distant countries" for Japan. Through our PR support, JAYID will work to gain understanding and support from a diverse range of people.
